Matrix power amps

Trying to figure out rig possibilities if I go the Axe FX III route.
Are the Mattix power amps for FRFR speaker cabs?
Or are they for running guitar speaker rigs?

The Matrix can power either regular guitar speakers or FRFR speakers. Some FRFR cabs are already powered, so you wouldn't need an additional power amp.

What are you planning on using in conjunction with the Axe-FX? Studio monitors? PA? Guitar cab? Headphones? All of the above? That's what determines if you'll need a power amp.

I run a gtfx1000 into traditional cabs direct (not FRFR); my FRFR are self-powered. Thumps hard and plenty of SPLs.

Both, I use a GT1000 to power a pair of CLR's and a GT1600 for two Marshall stacks.

Was thinking of running into traditional guitar cabs. I have owned an Atomic passive FRFR for a Kemper in the past and I preferred the traditional guitar cab sound.

I run 2 4x12 cabs with a Matrix GT1000FX and I really like it. I'm about to try the FRFR route with the Matrix into 2 1x12 cabs, also.

I also have a Palmer Macht402 power amp that sounds good with the 4x12 cabs. The Palmer is a class D amp (like Kemper) while the Matrix is a class AB. I like the feel of the Matrix better though.
