I just got a second hand mkII a few days ago, and I'm really enjoying it! It's been at least 10 years since I ran digital the last time (used POD back then), and now I'm back to digital mainly for a variety of sounds to play with at home as I leave my tube amps in our rehersal studio.
Now, I really miss my Matchless DC30 and Klon Centaur, which was the essential parts of my sound until I let the Matchless go a few years ago due to less gigging, heavy weight and it was not usable at home volumes. I looked forward to trying the DC30 model in the Axe-FX, but tell me: Is it modeled on the 12AX7 channel? It sounds like the 12AX7 channel as I remember it, and it doesn't have the 6-way tone switch that the EF86 channel has. I really miss the EF86 sound. It might be that I'm a total noob in tweeking patches and using the mkII.
