Okay, for past LIVEGOLD customers, I've uploaded a new APRIL 2024 dated zip file in your user downloads area on my website.

The zip file is for JUST Bank 1 (Marshall styles) under the new Cygnus X3 firmware -- with folders version for the Axe-Fx III, FM9, and FM3. It also has the empty bank, and a short README.

There is a little info on the new 2024 +PlusPack in there too and ho it connects to LiveGold.

Want ya'll to know the +PlusPack going to stay on sale for $59 until end of day May 31st Austin Texas time, then resume back to $79 price.

If you are buying LiveGold for first time, you'll also need to download the Feb. 2023 version for the User Manual and Preset lists, optional FC layouts, etc.

Again, this April 2024 partial update zip file only contains LiveGold Bank 1 and the Empty bank tool.

When I update the presets, I change the suffix at the end from CX2 (Cygnus X2) to CX3 (the latest firmware) -- so you can tell latest new firmware presets from last year's.

Getting good feedback from people that both LiveGold and the +PlusPack sounds fine on CX3 "as is" after you do the update and re-save presets -- but there can always be a few amps where volume changes significantly (preset no longer leveled), or tone-wise something drifts like gain or EQ, so be assured I will check everything out for final CX3 updates.

Next, I'm going to update The +PlusPack quickly to Cygnus X3 (especially for FM3 people who have been waiting since January for a compatible version), and then resume updating the rest of LiveGold bank 2 and 3 for Cygnus. Grateful that Cliff Chase has made it much easier to do the preset firmware updates now, so my spot-check update work will be faster than in the past -- since I don't have to re-enter a lot of parameter values for things like Amp Boost, saturation, Input EQ, etc. that normal amp resets wipe out.

Some Account Housekeeping if you have trouble logging in:

There is a sliver of AustinBuddy customers out there who bought LiveGold as a "guest" on checkout -- and did not create a user account.

You need a user account to get access to current and future downloads and updates. Th good news is most existing customers also have a user account - over 95%. The website checkout system now does not allow for guest checkout anymore for this reason.

If you don't have User account but orders with me, then I have been manually adding "new" User accounts using your order email (not login name) and then associating/attaching your old orders to it.

So, if you find you can't login or can't get a password reset, you'll need to email me with your email you ordered with -- and I'll fix ya up! Just give me 48 hours to get back to you. Also, make sure my email address -- heybuddy @ austinbuddy.com -- (no spaces) - is in your contacts/address book, else replies or password reset emails may go to your spam or junk folder.

Hi @clags - the short answer is yes. The EVH Stealth models are a new Fractal-added amp in 2023 (like the Revv Gen and others).

Starting this year, all new amp models (where I have to make a new preset(s), and may use DynaCabs for those) won't be found in LiveGold or Naked Amps, they are gonna be in the 2024 +PlusPack.

I'll still update the existing amp models in LiveGold and Naked Amps for free at least once annually.

But any new amps from now on are gonna be found in the +PlusPack.

I'm about to add the Vox Brilliant model to that and get a +PlusPack update out for new firmware in the next week or two...

Yes. I have the FM3 +PlusPack version now available now, with the caveat that it was saved under the new firmware 8 but was made on Feb. 2023 fw 24 Axe-Fx III presets - but it sounds fine so far from all reports.

Will have the latest firmware updated versions ready from all three units (checked all presets) within the next two weeks and loaded up for zip downloads.

Having this issue here when loading an item from the pluspack - no sound output from cab. Cab picker is garbled. Not sure if this is reported in another thread.

Hi @clags ā€” Hmmm. Did you also update the editor to latest version when you updated firmware? This l ooks like an editor issue, not preset one? Definately close the doctor and re-boot everything and see if it happens again. No one else has report this. Iā€™m updating those +PlusPack new amp LiveGold presets to CX3 now in fact in Bank 2 (then will tackle +PlusPack Bank 1) updating ā€” didnā€™t;ā€™t have any issues on the III with that amp.

I'll check when I get home, I recall getting a prompt to update FM9 edit a week or so ago but it may be possible I haven't updated my firmware to the latest yet too.
 
So I downloaded the Marshall update for the FM3...

And that's just UNBELIEVABLE.... I just spent 3 hours non stop playing auditioning the Marshalls. It's like this update was made for you to show your tone talents.

Congrats it's an amazing work.

I just can't wait for the +PlusPack for the fm3, would love to see your take on the 2203 high and low!

@Joshua_L - thank you so much for that, those kinds of kudos really sustain my work!

Cliff and company really deserve a lot of the credit. The firmware is so accurate and great now, itā€™s never been easier to dial in the precise tones to have in your head now. Of course my 10,000+ hours of practice doing this dialing-in stuff since 2010 hasnā€™t hurt either! :D

On the +FM3 version of the +PlusPackā€¦Iā€™m just finishing up Bank 2 (the new amps) of the +PlusPack on my III that will port over to the FM9 and FM3ā€¦ making a few adjustments to the EVH model, and had to re-level the RevGenns a little and cut the presence, but that all sounds killer. The 22023/2204 really didn't need anything new.

Will next week start the Bank 1 Cleans for +PlusPack for Cygnus X3, but you can get the FM3 version NOW that is made/saved under CX2 and it WILL work under CX3, and within the next 7-10 days I will update the +PlusPack TonePack to CX3 for all three hardware units to CX3 for download from accounts. Then rest of May Iā€™ll work on LiveGold Banks 2 and 3 and then 200+ Bass. I want to get Mark Holcomb of Periphery over for his presets in Bank 3 LiveGold. - and maybe do an ā€œThat AustinBuddy TonePack Showā€ with Mark ā€” but heā€™s on tour all of May so it may be June before LiveGold Bank 3 gets completely doneā€¦ I need he and his guitar to do his presets, my SG doesnā€™t work for those.

The +PlusPack will only be on sale until May 31st, then price goes to $79 normal one rest of the yearā€¦so that is some incentive to get it /buy now/by end of May, and start enjoying it with updates coming before mid-May.

Glad you love those Marshall style tones in LiveGold bank 1! Check out the Captain Hook 34, am once again in love with that ampā€¦

I just bought the pluspack for the fm3 šŸ˜€. Canā€™t wait to try those clean with my tele and the 2203!

All I can say is I am working on it. Instead of making yaā€™ll wait for the whole thing together, I do the partial bank updates. I have to listen/play every preset to make sure the new firmware didnā€™t change it. That takes time and I canā€™t do it non-stop because of ear fatigue.

So far though the presets made last year but running under firmware 25/latest sound very good and most as intended. I fiddle with levels if needed and gain and maybe EQ but nothing else. But then Iā€™ll run into an amp that needs more work - Freyette changed a bit for example, the ā€œcrackā€ scene didnā€™t crack and had to re-work it.

It should all be done by/in June. Maybe before. Iā€™ll know more in about two weeks. Iā€™ll put up Bank 2 when itā€™s ready. I cancelled trips away from the studio and I am in there 8 hours a day working on various TonePack or video stuff.

Awesome. Let me know if any amp volumes are off as you play through it?

I wanna get +PlusPack Bank 1 fully updated quickly - and it should go fast. I finished Bank 2 (new amps) last) yesterday for all three units, but holding it until Bank 1 is done.

Update here - turns out I hadn't updated my FM9 to the most recent firmware. Firmware and dynacabs update fixed the issue.
