Maroon 5's James Valentine Full TONE TOUR and PRESET

Looks like we (I) forgot to zero that output block. It was built off a specific song which does use that boost, but it's just for one part. Shouldn't be there for the rhythm in general, no.
Cooper, just checking if the volume difference between Mesa scene and the rest is also excepted. There seems to be a huuuuge boost and in the video and doesn't seem like the solo scene is that much louder. Not sure if the volume was leveled in the video or also higher in this particular preset.

Ok, I know what I'm doing for the next couple hours. Thanks! That wah sound is just about perfect for my taste, too.

This preset also reminded me of a different discussion: should we use once cab block channel for all scenes or not. Clearly, M5 finds a way to deal with completely different cab channels in one preset. What's the secret?

And completely different amps, and scenes with completely different tones.

Just goes to show, you can do anything if you can make it work :)

I'm sure it helps to have Cooper in the wings, and Adam Levine out front, and M5's momentum in general, but props to James V and the whole crew.

I'm not a Maroon 5 fan, but I'd go see them just to hear JV play. Loved that Mesa lead tone he demoed on the video. Pure Petrucci tone!

Lead is definitely supposed to be louder so FOH has less to do. It was leveled a bit in the video.

Thanks for sharing this @Cooper Carter !!! I downloaded this preset but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Are the cabs in this preset the same that James is using; all stock IRs/Dynacabs etc., or is he using different custom/3rd party IRs?

Wow! Sounds great. Is anyone able to convert it for FM9? I tried but the amp reverts to FAS Stealth blue and some of the settings are off compared to viewing the preset in fractool.
Thanks!

Did you convert it with FracTool or by importing directly into FM9-Edit?

You should use the latter method...

The Filter block is not used in any of the presets.
In the video, it appears the Filter block is supposed to be in front of the Vol/Pan block, but in the presets it comes after the Chorus?

One more question, for me: the presets are very bass heavy, does the actual Maroon 5 preset have Low Cut/ High Cut in the cab block?

It's just a Null filter with a few dB of level added for a solo boost in a few songs.
