I know exactly what you're getting at there

Snare sounds much better that your other BFD test Kamaleon, but the Kick is indeed too plasticy at the top end

Yes there is a sort of clicky sound from the kick, the snare is good, maybe if the top end of the kick was rolled off slightly ?

What software?

Snare sounds decent but maybe a bit much "close room" so it sounds boxy. Kick has a bit too much top... in the 10k area.
