LPD - Adventures in Tone Matching Stuff Part 3

So for this installment, I decided to try and match my LPD Solaris overdrive pedal.

The LPD Solaris is a clone of the Klon Centaur. It sounds very close to the original Gold Klon Centaur I used as reference when I built it. Since there isn't anything in the AxeFx II that gets close to the circuit of the Klon I had to improvise. I think the match gets pretty close, but the Solaris still has something different going on in the clipping that sets it apart. These clips are of just the pedal and the TMA so they are a little buzzy and direct sounding.

I had to create 3 separate presets for the different gain levels I used as reference.

Here is a match demo of the pedal with the gain at 10 Oclock and the Tone at Noon. The AxeFx is first then the LPD Solaris.

Okay! Has anyone tried these presets out yet? Care to give a first impression?

Just FYI to those who are interested, I did three different gain levels to get more accurate result in the ranges that most folks use this pedal.

I like it best in front of my Deluxe Reverb with the tone control down from noon a bit and the gain at about noon.
