Looper

I am running a Mesa Mark Five 25 head and the FX8 4 cable method.

If I record a loop on the clean channel and switch to the Dirty channel the recorded clip sounds like it is being played on the dirty channel instead of staying clean, what do I need to do so the part stays clean and I can solo over it with the dirty channel and vise versa.

Change the Looper position to Post.
