looper routing question

What's a good way to have the looper volume controlled (with guitar and effects) by an expression pedal, and while that is looping to control guitar playing over top of loop with separate expression pedal. Thanks.

You can do all of that in the Looper block. There's separate controls for Playback Level (the looped part) and Dry Level (the incoming signal)

The looper block has separate output level controls for Playback, Overdub and Dry. These can be set static-ly different (I generally set the loop to -3dB), or can be controlled separately by exp pedals as mr_fender pointed out.
