Looking for a Drive Block that has AC30 top chime..

He's using a V4 Copper, which functions like an AC30. Any drive suggestions to use on a Fender clean amp preset? Here's the YT video. It's the tone used on the tele. The top end chimes. I'm trying to do it without using the AC30 amp block, but will concede if there isn't a drive block that emulated this.

I've never done it, but I believe you can use another Amp Block as a drive pedal by setting Supply Sag to 0 and disabling Power Amp modeling. Supposedly it will use less CPU than the Drive Block.

The processor load of an amp block does not show up in the „Processor Load“ meter.

That‘s how it shows up on Axe-Fx. I admit, I never regarded it on the unit itself.

That‘s why it seems that an amp block needs less processor power than a drive block. It‘s only a visual appearance, not a real thing.

The switching is so good, I can prolly set up an AC-30. I'm trying something new (to me), and that's using pedals on a clean preset to get my gain.

It's really just the top end chime I'm after in a drive block. I guess I could crank top the treble in one or flip an amp block's bright switch to achieve the effect.

+1, Amp block usage is directed to a separate (hidden) cpu, and Fractal makes sure there are no amp block / amp block settings combinations that can max out the 2nd CPU. So using a Drive block instead of an amp block actually uses more of the CPU that matters to users (the 1st one). Use the amp block for everything you can (instead of adding other blocks) if you want super cpu efficiency (ie: the amp block compressor, the amp block EQs).

I can do this with control switches, eh? I've been getting pretty creative lately (for me). Switch up the gain, knock down the level. Something like that?

And I am running out of CPU on this particular preset so this may be the path for me. But I'm still interested to hear if anyone has a drive block in mind to get this. The guy has another video using this same set up where the 'chime' is really awesome. I couldn't find the video to post here after looking today. This guy always has great tone and awesome playing. I love his channel. It's made me a way better guitar player. I'm not the best though... (I need my chime...lol)
