gonna stream with FM3 1.04 Release in a bit. just going to hangout and answer any questions, while i go through the release and Factory Presets for myself.
 
Do you just have multiple USB cameras that you mix down to the stream? What do you mix the video + audio with?

I use 2 Sony cameras via HDMI out and have 2 capture cards to get them into the computer, I think about $150 each. No need to spend $500 any more for a capture card!

OBS handles these video inputs and I use multiple scenes for the multiple angles/closeups with keyboard hot keys to bring them in and out.

Audio is mixed with a x32 Rack mixer, but I’ve also used the inexpensive x-air 12 with similar quality results. I use a $20 USB interface that just has RCA in and out to get audio over usb to OBS.

So really any mixer and camera can work with the capture cards and usb interface to get signal to the computer. The digital mixers just help me mix easier on the computer, but no other benefits aside from what the mixer itself is capable of.

It took me a while to optimize the setup to use the lowest computer CPU, and recent OBS updates have made things easier too. Amazing that OBS is free!
 
going to do a Q&A session, mostly for beginner's new to the FM3, Axe3 and FCs. i'll just be hanging out until someone asks a question, so come on by and i'll try to help. super casual.

I have an obs question. I'm currently using the the following, reaper, obs, fm3, mic, and a focusrite solo.

After it being a nightmare to set it up haha, I think I got it working. I'm running the fm3 through the focusrite into reaper. I have 2 tracks in reaper, mic and fm3. It's been working well.

I'm using this for guitar lessons via Skype. I recently added spotify to obs I think via video capture but I would have to check to confirm.

Unfortunately, my student is only able to hear spotify. Is there a way for both of us to hear?

hey i saw this, but i haven't thought of a solution yet. i'll revisit again soon.

Revisiting some things I tried with-a little different approach.Gonna take a few more cracks at this by my self and see where it goes. Of course I have used Facebook and you tube, it twitch. Just not for any live stream things

someone in my livestream asked for my FM3 Main preset, so here it is :) it was exported from 3.02 Beta, so you'll probably need that loaded for it to work.
