Line 6 Relay G50 with Axe FX II XL Issue

I would like to use my Line 6 Relay G50 with my AxeFX II XL. I ma having an issue where when I attempt to use the wireless unit, I get a weird single-coil type of top end. Like it is adding springy high end that I cannot dial out. Any tips or tricks to get cabled sound from a wireless unit on the AFX? As a side note, I also tried my old Nady wireless (from the early 90s) and had the same results. I am running humbuckers in my Charvel SoCal.

I've tried it at just about every setting. At around 30ft it goes from being bright to just being dark. Typically, when I run it with one of my tube amps I set it at 20ft and its good to go.

Any difference if you change to the front or rear input on the AFX-II?

Side notes: I'm using Line6 Relay G50 with both an FM3 and an FM9, and I've used Relay G90 with AFX Ultra and AFX-II. None of those setups produced problems like you've described.
