this 509 is ticking a bunch of boxes for me.....unfortunately i'm not familiar with the PRS product history, but did they ever issue a 509 or 513 w/ 24 frets or a CU24 with 509 or 513 switching?

I don't believe so. All 513, 408 and 509 models are 22-fret versions. It's nice in that it puts a pickup right under where your 24th fret would be, for a very rich sound.

Rare earth! Wish I could swing it to be honest, even though that body is probably too big for me to find comfortable.
