Looking at this thread reminded me I have a vintage LP somewhere (owned for over 40 years) but haven't picked it up for awhile, it weighs a ton.
Hasn't had strings on it for a couple years.
@Andy Eagle, I don't suppose you could source me an original matching volume knob (for a fee of course)? I haven't been able to find one to match.

Pearl Drums made guitars for a short while in the 80's. This one is every bit as good as a Gibson USA, plus it has a forearm and tummy cut. Coverered fret ends too. It now has chrome PAF's on it, which look great.

Yeah, I've been meaning to do that for some time.
The tone is magnificent but it's a backbreaker! I can see why a lot of guys sling them the way they do, backend low with the neck on a sharp upward angle.

Satin... Looks really nice in person!

I could always buff it a little more glossy, but I'll probably wait until my acid sweat right forearm polishes a few spots. LoL!

Also, it plays beautifully and I love the pickups on all positions, whether dimed or rolled back in different combinations!

Love the bridge and neck pickup positions besides working the volume pots in the middle position.

They either do a great job with these or I got one made when they were in their A-game!

to be fair to @Budda , I think we live in the same general area and it rained for nearly two straight weeks recently. Grass is outta control everywhere.

Standard '60s , a hair over 8 lbs, rings like a bell and does just what a LP should. Hazy figuring in the top, but who cares.
