and my guitar stand quickly turned into umbrella hanger. What "misuse" happened to your gear in similar situations I am curious? apart from the obvious cat relax place on top of your AXE-FX soft case

Back in the day, we built a massive plate reverb unit - basically a big metal frame with a large sheet of light gauge stainless suspended on springs with a transducer attached to the middle, and piezo transducers somewhere in the middle of the plate - feed an aux send to the transducer via a power amp, and it moves the steel sheet, and the transducers pick up the “reverb”. Good way to get a great reverb sound before digital ruled our hearts and minds.
So...where to put this big bastard? I know... in the bathroom adjacent to the ‘studio’....so a hole in the wall to pass cables, and set it all up... one great isolated reverb unit.
Until....we are putting the final touches on a mix when we hear what sounds like a water leak in a cave from the reverb - going to tape!
Um.....sorry honey we can hear what you’re doing in the bathroom. fun times.
