Latency in Pro Tools when recording via USB

When I record in PT 11 through the Axe via USB, about 80% of the time my take is late by 20-30ms. The delayed shift amount is consistent. Sometimes it happens, but most of the time it does, and sometimes it will both do it and not do in the same session. Is there something I can configure in the settings to correct this? It happens too when reamping. The dry track will be perfectly aligned, and the bounce of the reamp will be shifted late.

Yeah. 24 bit, 48k. PT sessions won't even open if the interface doesn't support the sample rate (I made the mistake of once creating a session in 44.1 with a second interface and having to port everything over to a new 48 session to record guitars).

How did you set the buffer size? Try lower settings.

I guess it was that simple. I first changed it to "lowest latency" with a 512 sample buffer, but it was causing PT to constantly throw a "ASIO Settings has changed and Pro Tools must restart" error. Bumping it up one notch to "low latency" and a 1024 buffer gave me smooth sailing.

wow, i run my buffer at like 128 or less and never have any issues in Logic.
