Last minute question before gig. Fm3 into Amp FX return.

Hello good people.
Today I'm going to use the FM3 live for the first time (I've used before for effects only).
I'm terrified and excited
(By the way I'm not going to tell anyone and see how they react to the sound)

Last minute question before driving to checksound!!!

I plan to use it connected to the fx return of my amp:



The manual says to set Out2 as line level.
But I could swear that I've read countless times to use Unity Gain instead and max out the Out2 knob.
What should I use?

When I set line level I had to set the output level to -10 and the Out2 Block level to -10 as well.
The Out 2 physical knob is not even set at noon.

Does this sound alright? What should I use?

I used it into a tube amp both ways, no real difference, except the volume jump. For me, keeping the little output volume at noon was my go to setting. This way I can push it up and down as I need to. I would spend some time with leveling your presets output volume. Thats usually where you get some issues.

Also, I found it easier to just to use a XLR cable to 1/4" from output 1... Since that is already set in all my presets by default.
