FYI...
Taylor came out with version 2 preamp for their Expression System 2.
My guitar a 2011 614ce has the version 1 preamp. V2 changes the tone compared to V1.
The preamp is available to upgrade V1's.

Unfortunately it’s not a simple upgrade from ES1 to ES2. It involves drilling to place the ES2 pickup. Costs a few hundred dollars just for the labor.

From my understanding, ES2 has 2 different preamps. I am not talking about trying to change, ES1 upgrading to ES2.
I am saying Taylor has Version 2 preamp for ES2.
I believe the changeover is fairly simple.
