Just bought a used FX Ultra from Guitar Center

Found an Ultra on a GC pop up for 400 bucks. Couldn't pass up. My old Digitech GFX Twin Tube died and moved on, the pedals accumulated, and the boards got more elaborate. This is Engineering at a precision level my own career I would recognize. I'm just a retired Expert. Ex is a has been, a Xpert is just a drip under pressure. So I'm playing and spending and driving my wife crazy! Came w/o a power cable, and took me a while to locate the crate with them in my storage, then I ran out of cables, so It took me a while to get noise from it. We got noise now. When and where can I get a III? BTW GC sent me a power cord when I asked. And love those folks. But I have fallen into new set of elements here. Thanks Fractal!

Got my cables and 4CM way to go, assume applies to all FX iterations? Shoving 18 dBu into the power amp of a Mesa Cali Tweed not a great idea, but hey gotta make noise! This is the equalization, where volume stays unity gain between 'Bypass' and 'On'. It took a week to get it all in and connected right, but there is a definite learning curve to how it not only connects, but operation.

And just saying: I know I need help. Lol.

Fractal does not distribute to retailer's. You would have to go to them direct to go to brick and mortar, unless you find one used in a place like guitar center. Have fun with your ultra. It's not the III, but it's a good piece of gear.

All you guys thanks. If a preset doesn't make noise at the destination, what other than the front or rear input is in play? Used gear, but all seems to work.

I'm wondering how to get the Fractal to more than one out/endpoint.

And then is the 4CM Amp/Combo a better solution singularly, or is a Digital Ready Powered stereo cabs the better way?

How about making accessible to both and how to get that done via straight in or via switch?

Guitar playing gives a person 'worms' and you got to feed the worm, or it gives you 'GAS', Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

Translates into the worm is either eating me, or I'm eating it, and whatever it is, it's giving me 'GAS.'

I've had this condition for 59 years now, since I built my first guitar out of a junkyards' bins with a Western Auto pistol grip soldering iron at 11 years old.
