Jumped Marshall Inputs

For the jumped 4-hole Marshalls, which channel inputs are jumped? There are multiple combinations possible:

1 High - 2 High
1 High - 2 Low
1 Low - 2 High
1 Low - 2 Low

On my 1987X there is a difference in gain and tone depending on which inputs are jumped.

Is it possible to emulate the input combinations that are not modeled by using the existing controls?

Jump hi2->lo1

Good point on identifying which input the guitar is plugged into. For each of the possible permutations the guitar could be plugged into either one of the two open inputs.

I would assume that's the comfig that's being represented in the Axe. I've rarely seen anyone use a different one with better results...

Jumping the low inputs and plugging into 2 hi is fun irl with various drives

Never thought of that one. Must try it on my 1987. I'm looking at the schematics and trying to figure out whether it matters which Hi input you plug into once the Lo inputs are jumped. I think it might be the same result from either.
