Absolutely. Listening to the isolated tracks from Facelift, there’s a lot more spanky/mid-gain tones going on there than it seems in the whole mix. His solos are a good indication of how much gain he generally has going on, those notes don’t endlessly sustain from the gain being maxed out.
 
If it’s good enough for Jerry, it’s good enough for me. I’d love to even have half an idea how he’s using it and what models he chose. Such a legend.

I caught them on the tour a couple years ago. Bush was pretty cool to see even all these years later. Gavin sang an entire song while sprinting through the crowd and up and down stairs which was insane. I would have been dying and out of breath after a minute. Unfortunately my wife got sick and we had to leave right when AIC started which was a bummer.
 
Just for context, this is a fly rig so he's using Fractal for cost/convenience reasons. When touring the States he still prefers to use his tube amps.

In the future, he will use fractal everywhere for the same reasons. He won’t be able to justify the costs of the amps

Did you read his quotes from last week? I dont think JC will be all Fractal any time soon

“A lot of my peers have turned to Fractals as a smaller and inexpensive way to get close to their sound. I have looked at that but I’m not there yet. I’ve done a few gigs outside of the US with those things and it still feels like a f ckin’ electronic toy to me.”

Yeah that's interesting feedback. He may not love them, but they certainly are getting the job done. Could be that it needs to get dialed in or adjusted a little more, or getting used to it. Or he could just be a real old school creature of habit who likes what works. I mean he's still using those same G&L's from 40 years ago, and dug out his Bogners from 30 years ago!
 
I’m willing to bet money that Jerry could record a whole album using Fractal and it would sound amazing and no one would know the difference. Not even Jerry.

I’m thinking of the Chris Farley SNL coffee skit. Only with righteous tones. 🤣

...or it could be that tube amps still sound and feel better in the room. And I say that as an avid Fractal fan.
