I've been sleeping on Low Cut

For real, this little switch is magic. Tightens things up so nicely on the low end, especially with high gain tones.

Its different for every preset/genre and guitar, but I generally compress 160hz or so on the multiband for guitar. For bass I do 110hz, and then again at 2600hz (to tame slap fret noise a touch). I also use a low cut/eq on the drive block that feeds my amp block so the amp doesnt even get that flub around 150 to 300hz to begin with.

I never use Fat since all my presets have plenty of mids. I recently started turning Bright off, because that extra top end started to sound harsh. And it was obscuring the fundamental note a with fast palm mutes. Plus my main guitar has Black Hawks now, and they have loads of high end.

If you find the Cut switch to be a bit too aggressive of a cut, try adjusting the Low Cut parameter in the Amp block Input EQ instead. It does the same thing but you can pick the cutoff frequency.
