Is this footswitch useful with the AX8 ?

(My AX8 arrives tomorrow, so I can't try this out yet).

I have a footswitch that generates a number of switch closures in a burst. It is part of a mod on a delay unit for cycling through 9 presets. So, it can generate a burst of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, or 8 closures. (With the delay unit, there were 9 presets, and you cycle through and hit 9, and it goes back to 1. So, to get from #4 to #2, it would generate a burst of 7.)

Would this footswitch be useful with an AX8? Is there a concept of limiting the set of presets (scenes?) to only 9, and then I could use this to quickly jump to whatever one I want?

I would doubt you would need it... You have 11 programmable foot switches on the AX8.

I doubt you'll need to "burst" through presets like that since you have dedicated preset select operations.

But don't you have to cycle through them? e.g. UP, UP, UP, UP

Only you can answer that one... I cant think of a scenario were you would need to bust from preset one to preset nine. I know if the AX8 only had about 6 or 8 foot switches it would work fine for me.
