Is the pacth exchange site up?

Nope. The only way to exchange patches now is to use the Axe-Fx Editor. There's no web interface available for patch exchange any more.

Where do you find the patches to upload?

Find to upload? They're on your Axe-Fx. :) The Axe-Editor software connect to your Axe-Fx via MIDI, sucks all your patches off, and saves them on your computer for you. You can then push them around: back to your Axe-Fx, to the patch exchange site, to other bank files on your computer, etc.
 
This is a total noob thing but a few questions:

1) How do you quickly delete patches to create room for new ones?

2) Once you find someone's patch you want to try, how do you load it on to your axefx/axfx editor?

yeah im on the same boat, my midi interface will be coming on tuesday and i cant wait first to update my firmware (stock) and get my hands on some awesome sounds here ...
