Is it possible to control the metronome tempo with the tap tempo switch?

Yes. The metronome operates at the current tempo, so if you tap in a new tempo, it will automatically change with it.

Are you asking how to use the tap-tempo, or how to add the tap-tempo switch to a layout?

If it's the second, it's easy to add the tap tempo to any layout using the FC Edit screen…
