Is Guitar modeling or pickup modeling in the future?

With this much power and Fractals creativity could we see guitar or pickup modeling in the future of
the AXE III? To me that would be so cool.
 
Do you mean like the Line 6 Variax? Or do you mean something added AFTER the guitar that simulates this?
 
An easier and better type of tone matching that first would analyze your pickups on each switch position then model different types of guitars or pickups. tone matching is okay but sounds different with different guitars plugged in. I guess it would be another step. This way any guitar could be used and the output guitar sound would be identical. Depending on the input guitar
sound, the tone matching would do what ever it needed to in order to output the exact sound of a certain pickup or guitar. I guess it would be more of an "active tone matching" that would customize itself according to input.
 
We already have the capability somewhat using tonematch of the direct guitar signal. Doesn't account for every ing but it should get close. I've been meaning to try it
