I started a thread in the main Axe2 discussion forum that was directed more towards re-amping but contained this issue as well. I've narrowed things down to what I believe to be a simple internal routing issue so I'm continuing here if that's ok. I only have limited time to work on this stuff so it has dragged on (two weeks now). But I'm finally getting some where.
So at this point I am getting audio from PT 8.05 to the A2 via SPDIF. The A2 input meters are showing the signal and I can monitor the processed signal via the A2's analog out's into my FRFR's. I just can't get that processed audio back into a PT track via SPDIF. Here's the setup:
A2 SPDIF In and Out to/from the Delta 1010LT.
1010 Control Panel
atchbay/Router
H/W Out 1/2 = Monitor Mix
H/W Out 7/8 = WaveOut 7/8 (Tried SPDIF In)
H/W Out SPDIF = WaveOut SPDIF
Monitor Mixer = All Faders Up
Pro Tools I/O Setup
Stereo Ins/Outs setup for 1 through 6
SPDIF Stereo Ins/Outs for 7-8
Pro Tools Tracks
Recorded Dry Track Output = 7 Out Mono (left)
Volume Fader Up
A2 shows input signal
Armed Processed Track = In 7-8
Out 1-2 (main out for ref monitors)
Fader Up
What am I doing wrong? I've tried creating new routing in PT I/O, tried nearly every combo I can think of for ins/outs. No matter what, I can not get a signal anywhere.
