It's some of the album art. It was a concept album dealing with witch trials and corruption within the church. Hard to believe that was really a thing once, a sad chapter in history.

Thanks, those are a Takamine G-series mic'd with an SM-57 and also using the guitar's piezo pickup plugged in at the same time using the USA clean on the AxeFX. There are usually two or three takes of that stack at any given time, then there is a layer of USA clean using an Ibanez MMM1 with DiMarzio Illuminator pickup under that for most of the track.
