Incorporating an FX pedal

I'm going from OUT (PRE) to my bass octave pedal, then back into IN (POST) and out to my amp via OUT (POST). It's working fine, but is there any way to configure a preset so that it can bypass the loop so I don't have to tap dance to turn the pedal off and change presets?

Not possible because is not a switchable fx loop..out (pre) and In (post) are on two separate circuits..if you want to select an externall pedal you need an external looper, If it's possible you can also modify your pedal with an external on-off control and use the internal relays of fx8

I've seen people talk about GigRig's Remote Loopy. I'm not all that familiar with it, so I'm not sure if it will do what you want - but surely someone here can clarify.
