It's not that the AF3 is the golden child, it's just where they start because it has more features and takes longer;

I'm not sure I agree with that. As far as my understanding, Cliff is the primary (maybe only) person driving the Axe Fx III while the FM3 has "a team" of engineers.

In my mind that makes the Axe Fx III the "Golden Child"

In general, I do agree with most of your other comments.

Both platforms are designed to share the same firmware

They don't share the same firmware... I believe they share the same codebase, but I don't recall ever seeing that officially stated.
