The TX Star, AKA Mesa Lonestar, is a great blues amp. Mesa's documentation is a must read as the amp's settings are very interactive and it can do a lot. And, again,Yek's guide is very useful. The Bludojai is based on Robin Ford's Dumble if I remember right, and also nicely documented in Yek's guide.
I think only the Lonestar Special is Class-A. The model in the AX8 is the 100w Lonestar Class-AB model. If I'm wrong about that, someone please correct me.
The 100w and 50w settings are Class AB. The 10w setting is a single tube in Class A. From the Mesa site...
This allows you to assign and configure the 6L6's to produce either 10 watts of Pure Class A Single-Ended clippability, or 50 or 100 watts of Class AB Push-Pull power PER channel.
