Huge Soaring Lead?

What are you favorite delays and basic settings to get that huge soaring lead tone?
I'm having trouble dialing the perfect one in. I should mention that this is for live use (not recording) and is not FRFR - using a matrix and 2x12. Thanks !

2290 and a little reverb, most of the soar should come from the amp settings.

Yup, I used to try to do it in post in Reaper with a dedicated delay... Now I pretty much print almost all guitar FX, so easy to set up in the Axe FX...

You know... This unit is the single best guitar purchase I have ever made. Got a Kiesel Vader 8 on the way, we'll see what that does through this FIRE BREATHING DEMON OF AN AMP COLLECTION!!!!

I use ducking on dly and verb on most everything. love it.

I agree. ........A "how to and why" video from someone would be awesome!

Check out Mark Day's older presets at the exchange. He uses ducking in DELAY2 in his presets I think.

Messed around with the ducking parameters - seems to have subtle effect - does clean things up a bit.
