the DC Band was the Stage 2 headliners at HRH Prog V on Friday night..
it was so much fun…
anyways.. a nice story..
after the show I got chatting with one of the guitarists that was due to be playing on Saturday night..
he said he was walking past the Stage 2 venue and heard this guitar solo..
he said he was loving what he was hearing.. so much so that he felt that he needed to go find out what amp that guitar player was using…
turns out that the guitarist was me and the 'amp' was the Axe-FX II.
so he stuck around to watch the rest of the show…
he was telling me that the tone and the stuff I was making it do just blew him away..
we ended up in a pretty detailed conversation.. he wanted to know everything.. how to use it in the studio.. how I set up my presets and the screwy control stuff I do with it.. and of course he asked about the amps, cabs, fx etc… the more I told him the more he wanted to know…
he said that he'd heard many great things about the Axe but never really seen / heard one running 'in anger' so to speak…
it just blew him away…
he was clearly getting real excited about it, saying "I really need to get one.."
looks like we'll soon have a new member joining our lil' clan…
to add… he wasn't the only one to mention my tone…
I was getting a great many compliments from fans and musicians alike all evening...
