Here is some 1955 plastic sat on a 1960 strat:

The plastic was different, polystyrene and brittle which is why it was changed to PVC. The thin single ply pickguards of this era also stays basically white.

They are aged but the colour of the plastic parts of this era is they stay this colour. Hear is an original;

That finish checking/flaking on the upper side looks like it must be itchy if you wear short sleeves and rub against it....

You won't be able to feel it really if it happens over time, playing it smoothes and polishes it at the same time.
Also that's a $40K guitar so I doubt anyone is playing it.
