How to connect a Gallien Krueger 250 RL to my Axe Fx II XL?

Hi guys! Can anybody help me with this?

I have a Gallien Krueger 250 RL amplifier and I would like to conncet it to my Axe as a preamp. It has a stereo phone Jack output and a rear direct output. On the manual it is said that when you connect anyone of this two outputs, the speakers jack is disconnected, so I guess that should mean that the power amp is disconnected, isn't it? And I shouldn't need to connect any speakers at all. But I'm not sure and don't want to damage the Gallien.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you from Spain!
 
Hi Crazee,
That amp has an auxiliary input/output. You could use a TRS into it with the axe right and left signals.
Should work fine, though there may be some residual hiss as the existing preamp and effects sections are not disconnected when you use it.
[edit] sorry - I just re read your post and you want to use the gl as a preamp? Weird, but possible, also using the auxilary in/out.
