How many are using external loopers w/ Fractal?

Looper threads come up quite a bit and I'm wondering how many Fractal users here integrate external loopers and if so, which one do you use?

I use a Glou-Glou Loupe and Microcosm for editable and glitchy loops in my III rack setup. The Loupe is a very hands-on device, allowing for replacing and inserting content in a variety of ways, and both destructive and non-destructive manipulations of playback. Microcosm is simpler in the sense that the unit’s capabilities do all of the mangling.

That said, I do use the looper in the FM3 for acoustic gigs as the “phantom player”. But usually for real basic loops. I would love for the trim points to be controllable to allow for loop windowing. That in itself would be a huge improvement in functionality.
 
I have Ableton Live. I really should experiment using it more in a looper style way. I have an airstep Bluetooth/midi foot controller so I'm imagining programming midi to control the looper plugin in Ableton could be a sweet setup

I use the fractal looper because I like to be able to route it differently depending of songs. I really wish it was better though, with multiple layers, ability to attach modifiers to looper control, better crossfading and better quantize options.
 
I got thinking about using a looper more to encourage more creativity/song writing. Mainly when noodling on the couch that is about 10 ft away from my Rack/Axe Fx/computer. In that case a pedal would be ideal though i could use my Airstep as mentioned earlier I think to control my computer focused apps like Ableton etc...some interesting loopers mentioned in this thread. I havent heard of a few of them before
 
I run a pair of GIbson EDP Pluses through Out/In4. The EDP will send Midi clock so you can sync delays to the loop length, if you wish.

The best looper in the Axe III is the mono tape delay. Modifiers on the motor speed control are tons of fun. The new Stack/Hold functionality makes it even more fun.
 
I used several, mainly the Boss RC-5 and RC-10 (via midi control).

The reason is that I can't store wav samples in a Fractal unit. If I could, that would be a game changer and I would be thrilled to use less gear. Perhaps a pipedream, but I’m hopeful that maybe the next hardware could support an external USB stick to facilitate that idea.
 
I was missing multiple Tracks with separate Outs for FOH, that’s why I use the Parallel Out of Axe-Out1 and go to a RC-600 that gives me three Tracks. I also use Ableton to send MidiClock and play some additional Sounds… It‘s a great Setup and works very well. Would love to get more into the Granular, Glitchy, Frippertronics World of Looping in the Future!

Could someone using Ableton as looper with the Axe FX do a walkthrough of their setup / routing and show how to use it to produce a toy piece of music? I would like to get started but the amount of options stops me in my tracks and I've never found a good beginner guide that just gets me started quickly.
