How does the MFC wait list work?

In the past they have emailed those on the wait list directly.

What I was told by their customer service people is that we will be notified via e-mail that they are now available and then it's basically a free for all. They have not set one aside for me to buy when they are in stock. I'm not sure why they call it "reserving" because you're really not. You're just being notified. That's it.
