Harmonica made for guitar players. I have played Richter tuned harmonicas for quite some time so it was very different for me. For someone who hasn’t played harmonica, I think it would be a lot of fun.
It’s not the same for sure, no useful chords, just leads, but gets you through minor pent with flat five and relative major pent with flat 3 (country blues), in an easy straightforward fashion.
Know the key you want to play in before buying one. Both minor and relative major needs to be understood.
You don’t have to work near as hard, but you don’t get the cool bends and over blows (you can bend, but they’re not the notes you would typically want to bend) and common double stops, that really make harmonica sound amazing, but that said, it’s a lot of fun.
