HiWatt G3 soon?

I've noticed that the AFXII HiWatt amp sounds unique among the amps. It also has a nice 'girth' to the sound and has very little fizz when distorted.
I haven't played around with cabs for it, so the cab in the 'Highpower Brilliant' factory preset may have something to do with my impression.
Anyway, does anyone know if it's going to be G3'd along with the rest at some point? :pride:
 
I find this interesting, except that Alex did use them live. (I don't know about in the studio.) But, I thought that was after Moving Pictures. I forget. Maybe before... lol

His tones in MP are great. He was using Marshall Club & Country amps on the album. You can see some of his gear in the videos.

Pete Townshend used Hiwatts, too; FYI.

a) UltraRes IRs of WEM cabs with Fane cones

The Hiwatt amp in the Axe has been one of my favorites since the beginning. Can't wait to get it G3'd, but I'm happy with it now.

Sounds great, Tyler. What guitar and reverb settings did you use on the 'Shine On' clip?
 
Was going to mention The Who and Gilmour as prominent users. Page, Tull, Hendrix had either some documented or rumored use back in the day. They're known to be good Stoner Rock amps when coupled with a Fuzz. The Fane loaded cabs might be part of the unique sound.
