Hideaway | Performed live by Scott Szeryk | Blues Guitar

Hideaway was originally recorded in 1960 by Freddie King. It is said that Fredde King took ideas from various blues songs at the time and fused them together. In 1963 Eric Clapton was given a copy of Hideaway by a bandmate and he started learning it on guitar. When it was time to record the John Mayall and the Blues Breakers album in early 1966 Eric Clapton requested if they could do a cover of Hideaway and the rest is blues history!

Thank you for stopping by, we hope you enjoy!

Very good Scott - I#m a fan of blues classics aswell - very good Clapton vibe with a modern touch :eagerness:

Great Tone Scott!!! What Cab are you using?

Hey. Than you very much!!

I was using the Basketweave 25w cab… I think that's correct as I don't have the Axe FX in front of me, but it's a stock cab… Friedman BE, pretty much stock with a hint of rev and delay. I hope this helps!!

Wow! Such great playing and you also got me jamming on the Friedman BE which I have never done before. I used the Basketweave and it sounded it really good, but then switched over to the Fractal 4x12 M160 (UR) and it sounded even better! :)

Thanks Scott, great inspiration!! Wish you were in the UK for some lessons!!
