Help With First Metal Patch???

Hi all,

I am new here; just got my Axe FX Mark II this past Friday. I have to say, I have been extremely happy with it. I ordered a POD HD PRO X a couple months ago, fiddled with it for a couple weeks, returned it and immediately got on the wait list. I am running the Axe with my Macbook Pro and KRK Rokit 8s using a 2008 PRS CE22. A lot of my time so far has been spent just noodling around with the factory presets, which sound really excellent. However, when I cycled through some of the high gain presets (factory and axe exchange) I found them to be quite thin and plastic sounding. From my research this seemed to be a common occurrence (everyone running diff setups and whatnot). So without waisting anymore time I was off trying to create a patch that worked for me! Obviously it is going to take some time to get familiar with the unit, especially for the high gain tones... I have posted a clip on sound cloud with guitars panned 85% left and right. FYI one track may be slightly ahead of the other, but I didn't feel like doing multiple takes. Could you please take a listen and offer some constructive criticism. To me it sounds a bit muddy and maybe a touch too trebly.

Can't listen to it at the moment, but since 13.0, my starting point for a metal patch is the 5153 red with EQ at 6/6/6 -(no joke) using the chinese V30 hi res cab from OH that came with the last firmware upgrade.
