Help, no Input to axe-fx and no Sound

was tweaking an amp patch today and my axe froze for the first time in a year

whatever i do now, i can't get any sound to come out of the axe and can't get any input 1 leds to light up (yes i have the vol knobs turned up.)

it's also strange that the input 2 leds are randomly lighting up.
sometimes they're fully lit, sometimes half lit...and this is without any cable even plugged into the axe

i wasn't hooked up to any type of external editor when this happened.
i was only tweaking on the axe itself

here's a quick list of things i've tried

- reinstalled the firmware
- took the internal battery out and put it back in
- reloaded all my presets back onto the axe
- reinstalled the firmware again
- have rebooted the axe many times
- I/O input vol has been set back to 'none'
- axe is set to 'front input'

everything was working fine this afternoon when i was playing.
i've run out of things to try now

UPDATE: the 'bypass', 'tempo' and input/out leds all flicker on and off real fast. It's a pretty dim light though, not like normal

has anyone had this happen before?

any help would be great
 
That sucks. Have you tried the internal tests? Go and head to the firmware update page and keep holding right arrow key. There is test tone there. Watch out for that clear sram as it will wipe all your settings and presets.

just tried those internal tests

all leds were ok
all ram tests were ok

tried the tone test and nothing happened
