Help FX-8

I just got a used fx8 pedal board and cannot find the factory presets that are installed. All I have is Izzmo 1. What do I need to do? Thanks Dave. Are they suppose to be there when I turn it on? I’m new to this but getting frustrated.

I would do a system reset too. No telling what the previous owner changed?

you're frustrated because the previous user deleted everything and did not reset it for you. that's not how it starts out when new. so you'll have to do a bit of work to get it back to Factory status.

install the program

download the factory presets, be sure to choose from the correct Mark II or Original list: https://www.fractalaudio.com/fx8-downloads/
unzip the folder

open Fractal-Bot
Step 1 - Choose the FX8 you have
Step 2 - click Browse and choose the .syx file called Preset Banks
Step 3 - click Begin

it may warn you that you'll overwrite - yes you want to do that.

also on the FX8 itself, click Setup, click the footswitch for Utility (should be #3), then Page to the Reset page, and choose "Reset System Parameters" - use the NAV knob under the screen to select it if you need to, then press the ENTER button to reset them. you won't get any confirmation, but it will happen immediately.

NOW you have a reset FX8.
