Help:Connecting Axe FX Standard to older iMac, M audio Fast Track Ultra (osx 10.4.11)

Howdy,

Got Axe Edit downloaded and open.

Got the new firmware downloaded.

But can't get my computer to recognize the Axe FX.

I'm using running midi in/out from the M Audio to midi in/out on the Axe.
Is there a setting on the Axe I need to change?

Feel free to give me a shout or point me in the right direction. As far as I can tell, I'm doing everything right.

Now how do I hear it through my computer?

I tried running XLR from the Axe to the M audio, but to no avail.

Wrong cable? Wrong I/0 settings? All of the above?
