This started as a FAS Modern for the building block. The gain is run about halfway / no boost. I removed a lot of the real low end, biased the output hot (about 75) run the damping about 50. I changed a lot of the other params also - I don't have the preset pulled up right now but I'll post it if anyone wants it. I used my old 1961 Epiphone (that has a Duncan hotrails in it) for the rhythm tracks and a early 90's custom Hamer using the front pickup (P90) for the solo track. No EQ on anything , just a little delay on the solo.
The Epi is a weird guitar - it's all mahogany but the body is only about an inch thick and the neck is like a baseball bat so it has a real heavy midrange tone that just kills...
