Headphone level super loud

I just did firmware updates on the Axe-Fx 11 XL and the MFC-101. The headphone level on the Axe-Fx is super hot for all presets. I am on 2 on the Output 1 knob, and it is already too loud. When I first got the unit, I turned up to 6 or 7 on the Output 1 for headphone level. Looked at all the settings on I/O, they seemed normal. Does this affect the sounds when I play live and connect to the P.A.? Just don't want this to compromise the sound and tone of the presets and have some weird clipping issue...anyone else experience this?

Manual doesn't specify the output power of the headphone jack, but I think it's pretty hot on the Axe II. Higher than about 9:00 to 10:00 on the output knob is crazy loud with my Audio Technica cans.

I never go past 2 for headphones.

On the new VU meters, I'm usually around 15% on the output knob.

That means you overall levels have increased. Headphones out are the same as output 1If you want a quick fix go to the Global menu and in out 1 lower the gain if you need to.
