I'm going to be stuck on a plane tomorrow, so I bought three albums from them today pass the time. I needed the complete set of 'It Gets Funkier' parts 1-3, because OCD.

I’ve been getting into these guys lately. These guys have serious groove.

It's funny, a teenage player was over with his dad and I had played Dean Town. Said teenager thought that something like that was too easy to bother to learn to play. I just grinned but I was nice. But I wanted to hand him an instrument and say "Ok, please play those 16th notes that cleanly and evenly and sit in that pocket. Then bust into the syncopated funky ass runs and maintain that clean playing in the groove."
