I just found out that such a device was even in existance this morning when a user was nice enough to tell me about the device.
I have a edirol fa-101 I was going to run an optical spdif cable from the axe fx to the edirol but it isn't an option. I am wondering about this converter. Do they work well? I always had good luck with my tonelab using the optical route, and am wondering if it is worth persuing. Thanks for any feedback..
