I am going to buck the trend and wish everybody a very Merry Christmas!!!

I think that it is OK to wish that here, even though "Christmas" has been banned in parts of London, the capital city of what was once Great Britain.

If I have offended anybody with my "Merry Christmas" I will of course also wish everybody a happy holiday season and say "Sorry".

I am now sitting and waiting for the Police to come and arrest me for non-hate hate speech.

And a happy New Year to all of you. It might be Orwells 1984 here but I hope 2025 is a great year for everybody.

Merry Christmas to you as well! I moved to the Happy Holidays not to avoid saying Merry Christmas, but to instead include other stuff as well so I don't have to wish anyone Merry XXX (although a Merry XXX may not be such a bad thing) ;~))

As for Orwell and his prediction of our future, we have definitely passed through the portal IMO! Make of it what you can in this Brave New World!!

Definitely no reason to apologize. That’s what this time of year is most significantly been about in the west and even farther east for centuries now. I always say Merry Christmas. Like has been mentioned, many times I do also say Happy Holidays because other people of the world also celebrate life, love and significant moments of religious history of their culture in different ways during this time of year. Some that predate Christianity. While working at a Taiwanese multinational corporation in the past I learned about different Asian celebrations during this general time of year. I consider myself a Christian, but In some ways and at least here in America Christmas has/had become so bastardized that I feel when I do wish a “Merry” or “Happy” whatever, I want to mean it and it not be some trite thing to mindlessly say over and over. Although I think it makes most people feel good just to be recognized in these crazy times.

I chose to add to the “Festivus” context because I ultimately love the type of “humor” underlying the whole idea of this particular parody. It’s probably one of the best Seinfeld episodes. Also, to show recognition and solidarity with @Moondog Wily very nice wish to us.

Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. Now go make some crazy sonic celebration with your Fractal device(s)!!
