I just did a test, which I've been meaning to do since I got the Axe II, to measure the outputs of some of my guitars in all pickup configurations/settings. All I did was take the direct out from the FX loop into my DAW with a digital meter to see the peak output. I just strummed an open D chord. This is not a perfect measurement I'm sure but it was enough to give me an idea of the outputs of each guitar relative to eachother. I was surprised to find my Gibson Burstbucker 2's in the bridge of my R7 Goldtop is the hottest. BB2s are kind of a mid gain pickup in the Gibson line. I expected my JP6 to be much hotter. As expected, single coils were about 12db softer. Something to keep in mind when using another forum member's presets.
