I haven't found a kit that has what I would like to have. For home, it's an accumulation of tools; Stew Mac screw/allen driver set, string winder, Husky mini pliers set, small and med triangle file set and Hosko double-edge nut file set. For the gig 'go bag', Kobalt multitool, Gibson guitar multitool and 4-in-1 screwdriver.Hey guys!
Does anyone here have any recommendations on a decent guitar tool kit for basic maintenance / repairs?
Thanks!
Burning money! So what's the blowtorch for??? Relicing???
No, that's what the mallet is for!So what's the blowtorch for??? Relicing???
First, a mat and neck holder. Here's the one I use:

I have a lot of special purpose tools, but I really like this starter kit from CruzTools:

This is another nice set:

I use a Drill Bit Peg Winder a lot. Mine glows in the dark. I can't find a link to it.

Right. A mallet is a rubber thingy for laying pavers and floors!Errr … it’s a 2 1/2# cross-peen (forging) hammer ; definitely not a mallet (it’s in the toolbox lol )
That looks pretty good. Wera tools are quality I have some . The only issue with sets is if you don't need half of what is in it. I would suggest you still just get the things you need. Stew Mac is the worst for this.I don’t know if it’s available in the US but I do use this set from WERA, a German tool company.
